Outreach Program

  • Workshop by Aryabhat Foundation.

As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility, AstraX’20 is organizing a Basic Astronomy Workshop in collaboration with Aryabhat Foundation for middle school students of nearby schools. Aryabhat Foundation is a special endeavor for the promotion of basic sciences in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. By organizing events like film shows and solar astronomy workshops in our outreach program, we aim to promote astronomy education in these students and thus develop an interest in astronomy and astrophysics among them, on a basic level.

  • Introductory Python Workshop

AstraX’20 is also organizing a Python workshop for high school students. We aim at introducing the importance of python language and astronomy using python. This workshop also concentrates on various other topics like open source and closed source development in Python, its uses in places other than astronomy, and so much more. Mentors from IIT Mandi will help out these students to understand the basics programming using python language. We feel it is our responsibility to help local underprivileged students make a leap of faith and get a hands-on to programming in early stages of their life.
